Hi, I’m amber ryann.
Pasadena, CA artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Amber Ryann exists somewhere between alternative hip-hop, rock, emo, and confessional songwriting. Raised between her father’s background in hip-hop production, her mother’s love of late-’90s R&B, and the alternative rock scenes that captured her as a teenager, Ryann began making music as a way to understand herself and the world around her.
That honesty has grown into an entirely independent world spanning music, film, live performance, and community. Her work has earned 20+ film and television sync placements, including Vengeance, Naomi, All American: Homecoming, Good Trouble, and Nancy Drew, alongside recognition from SPIN and Alternative Press. Over the course of her decade-long career, she has built a digital audience of over 90,000 across platforms, creating career sustainability through a “one fan at a time” approach.
The heart of Ryann’s craft, however, has always been live music. With more than 100 shows performed across the U.S., she has built her career as much in rooms with listeners as she has online. In 2026, Ryann took that approach nationwide on the independently produced KILL THE RADIO Tour, selling hundreds of albums directly to fans, deepening those connections, and proving the viability of a truly independent career.
As founder of Underrated Artist Season and creator of HOPE ALIVE, Ryann continues building spaces around the principle at the center of everything she creates: music can make people feel less alone.
